Deepa Chandrasekaran: A postgraduate in History from the renowned Hyderabad Central University, India, started her career at Nittany Decision Services (the first medical transcription company in Chennai) in 1997 as amongst the first batch of direct editor recruits. She took up a consultancy assignment to set up and train the medical transcription team (comprising 40 transcriptionists) at S R Exim Pvt Ltd, Chennai, India in the second half of 1999. She developed and implemented the quality systems at S R Exim. She co-founded Surabhi Technologies in the Spring of 2000, a medical transcription venture based at Chennai, India and provided transcription services to independent medical practitioners in New York.
In addition, she has also trained many batches of fresh medical transcriptionists for a unit of Anna University, a leading centre for technology education in South India.
Presently, Deepa heads Chrysalis Technologies and holds primary responsibility for quality at Chrysalis. A great enthusiast of the English language, Deepa develops curriculum at Ascent Education, a venture that assists students pursue graduate education in the field of Management in India and the US.
M Baskar: A postgraduate in Criminology started his career in the field of medical transcription at Nittany Decision Services in 1998 as a transcriptionist. Subsequently, he relocated to E-Scribe Solutions as a Senior Transcriptionist in the second half of 1999. He took up the position of a trainer and editor at LIMS India Pvt Ltd in July 2000. He has been associated with LIMS since July 2000 and has played a key role in building the team at LIMS and growing its business manifold over the two years.
Presently, M Baskar oversees the operations at Chrysalis.
Saravana Baskar: Saravana Baskar comes to Chrysalis with education from College of Engineering, Guindy & Indian Institute of Management Kolkota (IIMC) and with work experience from Larsen & Toubro (India's largest engineering firm) and Kotak Mahindra, an associate of Goldman Sachs and the innovative financial powerhouse in India. S Baskar's other interests include teaching and consulting and he is active with his ventures in the field of education. In the past, Baskar had spearheaded an innovative Indian portal Appuonline, and taken it through successive rounds of financing.
At Chrysalis, Baskar heads the sales team.
